As a Business Analyst in Business Consulting - Finance (Finance Transformation) at EY, you will provide finance business consulting services to help clients improve business performance and operate efficiently. Your role will involve advising clients on improving and transforming the finance operating model through financial processes, enabling technologies, organizational roles, and smarter reporting systems. You will analyze data, document findings, and prepare recommendations for the implementation of new financial systems, procedures, and organizational changes. Additionally, you will support the design of outsourcing, off-shoring, and global business service arrangements, and assist clients with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting services. Your responsibilities will also include helping clients reduce costs through consolidating finance functions across business units, consistently delivering quality client services by monitoring progress, and managing a workstream or team of individuals in the delivery of client-serving efforts. You will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge, manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, and maintain long-term client relationships and networks while cultivating business development opportunities. This position requires full-time employment, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide finance business consulting services to help clients improve business performance and operate efficiently.
  • Advise clients on improving and transforming the finance operating model through financial processes, enabling technologies, organizational roles, and smarter reporting systems.
  • Analyze data, document findings, and prepare recommendations for the implementation of new financial systems, procedures, and organizational changes.
  • Support the design of outsourcing, off-shoring, and global business service arrangements.
  • Assist clients with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting services.

  • Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in professional services/industry.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field and 4 years of work experience in professional services/industry.
  • 4 years of experience in providing professional services related to finance function processes and other operational areas that impact the finance function, including a combination of at least five of the following: finance operating model design, Finance Business Transformation, Global Business Services/Outsourcing, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and/or Digital Record to Report.
  • 2 years of experience in three of the following enabling finance function tools: Maximo, PowerPlan, Automation Anywhere, SAP, Ariba, Alteryx, High Radius, Anaplan, Hyperion suite, BPC, Blackline, PowerBI, Tableau, Subscription billing (including SAP BRIM), Oracle, UIPATH, BluePrism, Microsoft PowerAutomate, Microsoft Dynamics, or Pega.
  • 2 years of experience in two of the following: Leading finance workstreams for mid- to large-scale finance transformation projects and programs involving finance functions and shared services; Developing new business with existing clients at the C' level of Fortune 500 companies; Leading a team of consulting professionals on multiple projects.
  • 2 years of experience in structuring and leading executive communications, building dynamic presentations for client executives, and leading workshops/sessions to derive business outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tableau and other enabling finance function tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
