About the position

As a Business Analyst in McKinsey's Operations practice, you will play a crucial role in blending strategic thinking with hands-on implementation to help clients solve their most critical operational challenges. This position involves working closely with teams of 3-5 consultants, where you will actively participate in all aspects of client engagements. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating actionable recommendations. You will also have the opportunity to present your findings to client management and collaborate with client team members to implement these recommendations effectively. The role is designed to provide you with exceptional training and mentorship, including guidance from a Partner in Operations who will help steer your career development. You will receive several weeks of formal training during your first two years as a Business Analyst, along with ongoing support from your local office in selecting client projects that align with your skills and career goals. Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze information to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Formulate and test hypotheses related to client challenges.

  • Participate actively in all aspects of client engagements, working in teams of 3-5 consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a record of academic achievement.
  • 2+ years of post-graduate work experience with a distinctive record of achievement and impact.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: process optimization in service industries, customer experience, frontline & sales transformation, field service, customer care, or business support functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational activities within a service operations environment.
  • Industry experience in service industries such as retail, telecom, banking, or media.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Lean methodologies and IT enablement.
  • Familiarity with performance transformation techniques.
