About the position

The Business Analyst role involves analyzing complex business problems using data from various sources to provide insights for decision-making. The position requires identifying trends and patterns in datasets, constructing forecasts, and making strategic recommendations based on business data and market knowledge. The analyst collaborates with clients to tailor reports and analysis to meet specific needs and may participate in management reviews to present findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and available data elements.
• Collaborate with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs.
• Participate in management reviews, presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action.
• Recognize, identify, and document changes to existing business processes and identify new opportunities for process developments and improvements.
• Conduct analysis to identify root causes and assist with problem management as it relates to state requirements.
• Analyze business workflow and system needs for conversions and migrations to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare high-level user documentation and training materials as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of business analysis experience.
• 4+ years of managed care experience.
• Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related subject areas.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of formal training in Business Analysis and/or Systems Analysis.
