About the position

As a Business Analyst Consultant for Optum Operations, you will play a crucial role in innovating and enhancing operational processes and tools that support the team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both internal and external customers to improve health outcomes and advance health equity on a global scale. You will be responsible for developing process flows, documentation, and training materials, as well as ensuring compliance with business processes. The role allows for remote work flexibility within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document new UHC / Optum process flows, policies, and training materials to resolve issues.
• Create enterprise-wide implementation and renewal processes, documents, and user acceptance test plans to ensure compliance with business processes.
• Interface directly with clients to achieve product and solution delivery.
• Meet performance standards in relation to client agreements and expectations.
• Perform production support monitoring and issue resolution analysis during migration and transformation periods.
• Write requirements for IT system enhancements.
• Identify system and process gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in business or finance analysis, including experience writing requirements.
• 2+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and evaluation of business processes.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with relational databases and/or database structures.
• Experience in the healthcare, claims, or banking industry.
• Experience working in a matrix organization.
• Experience with first pass claim automation.
• Excellent communication, time/project management, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
