About the position

Nimbus Consulting LLC is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in Contracts and Budget to help organizations optimize and regulate their business processes and financial resources. The role involves collaborating with government stakeholders to modernize acquisition management using Human Centered Design principles, documenting solutions, and establishing tracking metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience in Agile methodologies, with a focus on improving technology and processes in the government sector.

Responsibilities

  • Bring subject matter expertise in Contracts and Budgeting and guide the discussions.
  • Propose and solicit feedback on modernized processes using the understanding of current processes and knowledge of industry best practices around acquisition and budget tracking for federal programs.
  • Solicit the requirements and identify the gaps in the existing processes by interviewing stakeholders and users.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and share responsibilities with Agile SME.
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD), Design Thinking, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in the context of the services.
  • Assist in writing and forming long-term acquisition strategies.
  • Work with team to document and develop a proof concept for modernizing acquisition management using broad agency-wide approved tools and licenses.
  • Periodically review contract progress to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Create a language library for contract and budget domains.
  • Develop reporting requirements and establish tracking matrices.

Requirements

  • A total experience of EIGHT years or more delivering, consulting, and other professional services to federal and private sector clients.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • FIVE years or more working as a Business Analyst.

Nice-to-haves

  • FIVE years or more experience in Contracting.
