About the position

The Business Analyst cum Product Owner with SQL role is a long-term contract position based in New York City, NY, offering a hybrid work model from day one, requiring in-office presence three days a week. This position is designed for a candidate who possesses a strong product sense and product vision, enabling them to strategize effectively for product delivery. The ideal candidate will have robust business analysis skills, particularly in requirement elicitation, and will demonstrate proficiency in probing and active listening to understand the needs of end-users and business stakeholders. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between end-users and engineering teams. This involves translating user pain points into functional requirements while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A drive to learn and grow both technically and functionally is crucial, as is an inquisitive nature focused on identifying inefficiencies and improving business processes. Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
