Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in Midland, TX. This position is crucial for providing application support across multiple business units, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Business Analyst will report directly to the Applications Manager and will be responsible for leading and coordinating project activities, as well as routine application support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration and communication throughout the organization. In this role, the Business Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders in both the IT department and the Operations business community, which includes areas such as Drilling, Completions, Facilities, and Equipment. The successful candidate will also collaborate with vendors to log software defects, manage enhancement requests, and oversee upgrade and hot fix testing and deployments. A significant part of the role involves working in tandem with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure seamless application installations and upgrades. The Business Analyst will conduct thorough analyses and evaluations of existing or proposed systems, ensuring that they align with business processes and requirements. This includes maintaining back-end system configurations and implementing updates to support evolving business processes. The candidate will be expected to possess expertise in the business units they support, as well as a solid understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. Additionally, the Business Analyst will collaborate in the design and automation of business processes and contribute to the creation of comprehensive documentation for new technology implementations. They will be responsible for translating high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the IT organization, managing and communicating any changes to these specifications as necessary. Providing end-user support and training will also be a key responsibility, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of applications and solutions.
