About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in supporting healthcare distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of both business processes and healthcare industry dynamics. As a Healthcare Distribution Operations Business Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency in the distribution of healthcare products. The Business Analyst reports directly to the Director, Supply Chain MMIS. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in healthcare distribution operations. You will generate and present insightful reports to support decision-making processes for the distribution team and other stakeholders. It will be your responsibility to ensure that reorder reports are updated monthly, which includes moving demand to proper locations, updating lead times, and deleting irrelevant comments. You will also run analyses as necessary to confirm that stocking locations and minimum order quantities are still appropriate. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing assigned Principals, keeping inventory turns, service levels, and slow-moving stock within set KPIs. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand current business processes related to healthcare distribution operations will be key, as you will identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall operational effectiveness. You will work closely with end-users, business leaders, and IT teams to gather and document functional requirements for system enhancements or new tools to support distribution operations. Coordinating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions that align with the needs of healthcare distribution operations will be part of your duties. You will also conduct testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements. Facilitating workshops and discussions to identify areas for continuous improvement in healthcare distribution processes will be essential. You will implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements. Participation in ongoing education to improve personal and job skills, which includes attending conferences, webinars, and cross-training, is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, with a preference for 1 to 3 years.
  • A minimum of five (5) years equivalent combination of education and IT experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals through prioritization and effective time management.
  • High ability to complete root cause analysis to fix problems and not symptoms.
  • Strong reporting skills and ability to analyze information.
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in computer/data entry and multi-tasking.
  • Exhibits ambition and willingness to learn.
  • Proven track record of efficiently managing the company's investment in inventory through strategic planning.
