About the position

As a Business Analyst (Elaboration Product Lead) at Delmock Technologies, Inc. (DTI), you will play a crucial role in analyzing propositions and assessing decision-making factors such as strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risk. You will work closely with Product Owners and the Product Manager to define a product approach that meets specified user needs. Your responsibilities will include developing product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, as well as writing user stories that establish a clear path to delivery for breaking down stories. In this position, you will define skill requirements and map internal, agency, and external resources, including partners and specialist contractors. You will analyze and map project risks, proposing mitigation solutions to ensure successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will define how predicted user and financial benefits can be realized and how channel shifts will be measured. Your recommendations for action will be based on thorough analysis, and you will manage, coordinate, organize, and maintain documentation that is clear, concise, organized, and easily accessible. This documentation will be essential for current and future reference and will utilize existing IRS tools, such as OneNote and README files. You will create system architecture diagrams, flow diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and other relevant diagrams, ensuring that future team resources can easily assimilate and understand the referenced topics. The documentation you produce will be consolidated into a systems-level, holistic documentation suite with a hierarchical structure that is easy to navigate and understand at both high and detailed levels. The format, location, and paradigm of this documentation will be collaboratively defined with AD management and technical advisors, ensuring that it meets the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing propositions and assessing decision-making factors such as strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risk.

  • Developing product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, and writing user stories.

  • Make recommendations for action against analysis performed.
  • Manage, coordinate, organize, update grammar, and maintain documentation that is clear, concise, organized, and easily accessible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience in a medium to large Agile enterprise.
  • Familiar with a range of digital/web services and solutions, ideally where open source and agile development methodologies have been applied.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to rationalize complex information to make it understandable for others.
  • Skilled in IIBA best practices, in-depth analysis, and system understanding.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, decomposition, and cataloging with associated traceability.
  • Ability to coach teams to Agile practices.
  • Ability to evaluate Agile methodology currently being followed by teams and propose and implement shifts towards industry best practices.
  • Expert experience in requirements gathering, writing, tracing, and managing.
