About the position

The Business Analyst (BA) at AgVantis, Inc. will assess and improve business processes to enhance efficiency and drive growth. This role involves gathering business needs, supporting projects independently, and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate translation of product requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit current state processes and requirements using various techniques such as interviews and workshops.
  • Critically assess data from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and validate detailed functional and non-functional specifications, including business processes and GAP analysis.
  • Challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with the overall product roadmap and strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement product enhancements for business transformation.
  • Interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with product goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, business management, finance, computer science, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or related experience.
  • Experience in lending, servicing, and general accounting initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (SCRUM).
  • Experience writing User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
  • Proficiency in Work Management Tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience creating wireframes and mockups based on customer requirements.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to gather, compile, organize, and analyze information.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with loan origination or loan accounting processes in the Farm Credit System or financial industry.
  • Knowledge of the finance market and regulatory compliance pertaining to Farm Credit Associations.
