About the position

The Business Analyst at WakeMed Health & Hospitals plays a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis within the organization. This position involves close collaboration with the Director of Financial Planning, the Strata Data Team, and Hospital Finance Leads to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of financial results across various service lines. The analyst is responsible for preparing profitability information, creating executive summaries, and maintaining expertise in decision support systems to provide timely and accurate financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and the Strata Data Team to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
• Prepare and analyze product line profitability information for the Senior Executive Team.
• Support various process improvement groups throughout the organization.
• Formulate executive summaries that provide insights into financial performance.
• Maintain expertise in decision support systems for accurate reporting.
• Create and distribute reports through the Strata system.
• Perform special projects for the CFO executive team and Financial Planning department as directed.

Requirements

• 3 years of direct position experience required.
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology, Systems Analysis, and Accounting/Finance, specifically in healthcare and acute care settings.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance required, or equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred.
