About the position

The Business Analyst (Financial Systems) role at Insight Global involves supporting software systems aboard a fleet of ships, focusing on financial software and data. The position requires gathering requirements, liaising between stakeholders and technical teams, and ensuring project alignment. This is an on-site role, primarily from Tuesday to Thursday, aimed at enhancing revenue-generating services through effective software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders regarding financial software and data.
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team.
• Create user stories to facilitate project development.
• Analyze data using basic SQL querying techniques.
• Assist in keeping projects on track between technical and functional teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 1 year in an IT environment to understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic SQL querying experience and proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
• Understanding of accounting principles (Accounting 101/102) to collaborate effectively with the accounting team.
• Experience in creating user stories in Jira or similar tools.
• Experience in the cruise line or hospitality industry.
