About the position

The Business Analyst for Revenue Cycle & Finance plays a crucial role in analyzing and overseeing the billing, finance, and revenue cycle functions within CarePoint Health. This position is essential for providing actionable insights that influence financial performance and operational efficiencies, working closely with senior leadership to drive informed decisions and execute company strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize cash flow and enhance customer relations (both internal and external).
  • Support the performance improvement of the cross-functional revenue cycle team.
  • Create operational and diagnostic reporting to address workflow bottlenecks and issues.
  • Respond to and complete ad hoc requests from senior leadership and senior clinical leaders.
  • Analyze reporting to project financial outcomes and provide forecasts and insights for decision-making.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on patient encounters, coding completion, collections, payer behavior, denials management, and underpayment appeals.
  • Review and evaluate reports from third-party vendors for compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure appropriate payments and identify denial patterns.
  • Detect critical issues and provide possible solutions, elevating necessary problems to leadership.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and COO on special projects and workflow optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in healthcare, finance, or business required.
  • Experience in business analytics and financial analysis preferred.
  • Healthcare revenue cycle management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in an unstructured environment.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, and analytical functions preferred.
  • Flexibility in demeanor with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization.
