The TikTok Monetization Products data science team plays a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making to drive monetization and sustainable revenue growth. This team is dedicated to becoming a world-class data science unit, rigorously using data to inform all decisions. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting business analysis of TikTok's monetization products. This includes evaluating business health, identifying potential risks, and uncovering major business opportunities from a global perspective. You will utilize statistical analysis, quantitative attribution, and other methods to achieve these goals. Additionally, you will design a comprehensive metrics framework for TikTok's commercial products and key business directions, conducting in-depth analyses of key metrics, trends, and performance indicators to support strategic business development plans. Your participation in business goal setting and decision-making will be vital in improving internal management efficiency. This will involve integrating various data and information based on comprehensive business logic across multiple products and platforms. You will also plan and establish key research topics focused on global optimization and ROI efficiency for TikTok's monetization products. Collaboration with product managers, engineers, sales, and strategy teams will be essential to deliver research results with clear conclusions and implementation plans, providing decision-making references for leaders and driving data-driven business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business analysis of TikTok monetization products, evaluating business health, identifying potential risks and major business opportunities from a global perspective.
  • Design comprehensive metrics framework for TikTok's commercial products and key business directions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of key metrics, trends, and performance indicators to drive data-informed decision making and support strategic business development plans.
  • Participate in business goal setting and key direction decision-making to improve internal management efficiency by integrating various data and information based on comprehensive business logic across products, multiple platforms, and multiple business forms.
  • Plan and establish key research topics from the perspective of TikTok's monetization product global optimization and ROI efficiency.
  • Collaborate with PM, engineering, sales, strategy team, and other roles to deliver research results with clear conclusions and implementation plans, providing decision-making references for leaders and achieving data-driven business growth.

Requirements

  • Work experience in a high growth tech company or strategy consulting firms.
  • Advanced degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in SQL/Hive, R/Python; experience in using data visualization products; knowledge of quantitative attribution methods.

  • Fast learner, highly entrepreneurial with a good sense of judgment and original thinking.
  • Experience in digital advertising with a great understanding of advertising products.
