The Business Analyst (GSA) position at Horizon Industries involves supporting the General Service Administration (GSA) in a full-time remote role. The ideal candidate will take on leadership responsibilities within a supportive team environment, focusing on client success through effective communication and collaboration. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, system analysis, and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review user stories in backlog and understand necessary changes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify user stories and updates needed.
• Document acceptance criteria for user stories and bug tickets.
• Assist Developers in understanding user stories and acceptance criteria, leading discussions on new functionality.
• Test user stories and ensure appropriate documentation of testing evidence.
• Serve as scrum master and lead daily scrums.
• Develop agenda for backlog grooming sessions and gain concurrence with Product Owners.
• Lead backlog grooming sessions with Product Owners.
• Conduct demo days and introduce stories to Product Owners.
• Train stakeholders on new functionality.
• Document business processes and changes.
• Update requirements documentation and user manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering, information systems, computer science, or business.
• Five years of experience in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and JIRA.
• Ability to provide detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable process components in various formats.
• Experience in change management and training support.
• Strong communication skills for organizational and strategic planning.

Nice-to-haves

• UI/UX experience of software applications.
• Scrum master certification.
• Any Testing related certification.
