About the position

The Business Analyst position at Walker Healthforce involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects aimed at improving operational efficiency within a healthcare context. The role requires analyzing operational transactions, participating in systems testing, and providing project updates and policy recommendations to leadership. The analyst will also be responsible for producing reports and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing divisional or corporate projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve operational transactions and issues.
• Participate in systems testing, develop procedures, and recommend process improvements.
• Provide project status updates and policy recommendations to leadership.
• Use corporate systems to produce reports, presentations, and communications.
• Assist internal and external personnel with information, training, and inquiries.
• Represent the department in work groups and special assignments.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and partners.

Requirements

• Familiar with data analysis tools and software
• 5 years in a business analyst role
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Jira)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Strong claims or inquiry processing experience.
