About the position

As a Business Analyst at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunities that enhance the operations of the United States Postal Service (USPS). This position involves connecting and improving systems that are vital to business mail activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and increasing customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for project management, developing software requirement specifications, conducting customer acceptance testing, and participating in industry meetings to support the advancement of technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Project management and project oversight
  • Develop software requirement specification (SRS) documents to support functional requirements affecting the technical file specifications (Mail.dat and Mail.XML)
  • Manage, update, and maintain all currently supported technical specifications and guides
  • Conduct Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) and support the review of Technical Requirement Documents (TRD)
  • Develop and update test scripts, perform customer acceptance testing, and document testing outcomes
  • Provide expert personnel to participate in mail industry meetings and workgroups
  • Develop performance metrics to track and report status of Customer Acceptance Testing
  • Automated test script development
  • Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and guides for impacted applications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University in CS, IT, or other Science related field; or an additional four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • PMP or Certified Scrum Master certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional work experience as a Business Analyst; experience in technology or software development is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements management tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), VersionOne, JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience with software testing tools such as Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Selenium
  • Strong ability and experience with database tools and developing analytics solutions using tools such as MicroStrategy, Oracle SQL, Teradata
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using O365 suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio, Teams, Workflow, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated experience with USPS Technical Solution Lifecycle (TSLC) or other industry Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading IT projects using Waterfall and Agile Methodologies

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Mail.DAT and Mail.XML specification is highly preferred
