About the position

The Business Analyst III serves as a high-level liaison between IT and business units, focusing on identifying, developing, and leading the deployment of strategic initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. This role involves detailed documentation of user requirements and transforming them into Agile User Stories for implementation by IT. The Business Analyst III interacts with various levels of the user community, including senior leadership, and provides technical support to less experienced employees.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between IT and business units to identify and develop strategic initiatives.
• Lead the deployment of initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity.
• Document user requirements in detail and convert them into Agile User Stories.
• Interact with Deans, Vice Presidents, and other senior leadership.
• Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced employees.
• Conduct user interviews to gather requirements.
• Design and execute Quality Assurance tasks and document results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical end-users and technical staff.
• Ability to conduct user interviews and create Agile User Stories using Agile Project Management software.
• Ability to design and execute Quality Assurance tasks and create documentation based on results.
• Superior presentation, negotiation, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating in an Agile project management environment.
• Experience documenting workflows and business processes using MS Visio or similar software.
• Experience creating dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to perform a cost/benefit analysis of user requirements and proposed technical solutions.
• CBAP certification.
