As a Business Analyst in Insurance Operations, you will play a crucial role in liaising with various operational areas such as underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology. Your responsibilities will include translating conceptual customer requirements into clear functional requirements that can be easily understood by technical teams. You will manage multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle, which encompasses rating, pricing, quoting, and issuing policies, as well as handling related account activities. Additionally, you will participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards, process transactions, and navigate varied workflows based on the line of business, company, state, and specific regulations. A strong understanding of bureaus such as ISO, AAIS, and NCCI, as well as current knowledge of Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and Privacy/Security Liability, is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with various operational areas such as underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology.
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to technicians.
  • Manage multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle, including rating, pricing, quoting, and issuing policies.
  • Participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards.
  • Process transactions and follow varied workflows dependent upon line of business, company, state, specific rules, and regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret various bureaus (ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI) and/or company proprietary rate, rules, and forms.

Requirements

  • 25 years of full-time work experience.
  • 10 recent years of insurance industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current knowledge of Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and/or Privacy/Security Liability.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various bureaus (ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI) and/or company proprietary rate, rules, and forms.
