As a Business Analyst in Insurance Operations, you will play a crucial role in liaising with various operational areas, translating customer requirements into functional specifications, and managing multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle. This position is designed for those who have significant experience in the insurance sector and are looking to leverage their knowledge in a supportive and professional environment. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology teams to ensure seamless operations. You will also participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards, process transactions, and follow workflows that vary by line of business and state regulations. Your ability to analyze and interpret various insurance bureaus and proprietary rates will be beneficial, especially in areas such as Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and Privacy/Security Liability. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and preserving industry knowledge while making a meaningful impact in the insurance field.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with various operational areas such as underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology.
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to technicians.
  • Manage multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle, including rating/pricing, quoting, and issuing policies.
  • Participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards.
  • Process transactions and follow varied workflows dependent upon line of business, company, state, specific rules, and regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret various bureaus (ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI) and/or company proprietary rate, rules, and forms.

Requirements

  • 25 years of full-time work experience.
  • 10 recent years of insurance industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current knowledge of Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and/or Privacy/Security Liability.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various insurance bureaus.
