As a Business Analyst in Insurance Operations, you will play a crucial role in liaising with various operational areas such as underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology. Your ability to translate conceptual customer requirements into clear functional requirements will be essential in ensuring that our technical teams can effectively meet client needs. In this role, you will manage multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle, which includes rating, pricing, quoting, and issuing policies, as well as handling related account activities. You will also participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards, ensuring that our processes align with industry best practices. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you interpret various bureaus and proprietary rates, rules, and forms, particularly in high-demand areas such as Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and Privacy/Security Liability. This position is designed for those who have a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and are looking to leverage that knowledge in a supportive and dynamic virtual team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with various operational areas such as underwriting, accounting, compliance, audit, and information technology.
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to technicians.
  • Manage multi-state, multi-line accounts throughout the policy life cycle, including rating, pricing, quoting, and issuing policies.
  • Participate in the development of operational KPIs and service standards.
  • Process transactions and follow varied workflows dependent upon line of business, company, state, specific rules, and regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret various bureaus (ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI) and/or company proprietary rate, rules, and forms.

Requirements

  • 25 years of full-time work experience.
  • 10 recent years of insurance industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to analyze and interpret various bureaus (ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI) and/or company proprietary rate, rules, and forms - preferred but not required.
  • High demand for current knowledge of Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and/or Privacy/Security Liability.
