About the position

As a Business Analyst Lead at Steampunk, you will spearhead the collection and management of user needs, guiding the development and deployment of technical solutions. This role emphasizes expertise in business process analysis, change management, and strategic planning across various technical environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications, ensuring effective communication and project delivery within Agile frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization to deployment.
• Envision and develop requirements to improve tools and streamline processes for efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to create shared understanding among stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product teams to decompose large epics into manageable features and user stories.
• Facilitate increment and planning sessions to ensure clarity in project scope and delivery.
• Assist team members in using JIRA for Agile Lifecycle Management.
• Coach teams on the delivery process and Agile mindset.
• Define project scope and schedule, manage risks, and prepare progress reports.
• Document Acceptance Criteria in user stories for clarity among stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Business Analyst.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using Agile methodologies.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience in a studio/human-centered design approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Business Analyst certification(s).
• SAFe certification.
