About the position

The Business Analyst Manager oversees the business analysis function within Pharmacy Services, ensuring effective documentation of workflows, system analysis, and cost analysis for software development projects. This role acts as a liaison between business and clinical users and the software development teams, adopting best practices aligned with global IS and business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the department responsible for business systems analysis for administrative, financial, insurance, or clinical systems.
  • Manages budgets and financial assets to achieve financial objectives.
  • Oversees human resource management and staff training for the department.
  • Provides leadership and direction for the business systems analysis department, ensuring employee engagement and problem resolution.
  • Plans and manages daily operations within departmental budgets.
  • Directs the work of employees, including hiring, goal setting, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manages customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations.
  • Communicates regularly with staff and manages resource allocation to projects for timely delivery.
  • Oversees application development methodologies and associated techniques for business system analysis.
  • Manages training and process development activities, ensuring compliance with best practice standards.
  • Collaborates with key business stakeholders to prioritize business analysis work for application development projects.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of training and knowledge-based materials.
  • Develops and implements communication plans for stakeholder groups and manages expectations.
  • Defines, develops, and analyzes operational, development, and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, informatics, clinical, or insurance-related field from an accredited institution.
  • Eight years of experience providing business systems analyst support using formalized industry-accepted techniques and methods.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 10 years Pharmacy/PBM experience
  • Senior Level SQL skillset
  • Previous Supervisor experience
  • Minimum 1 year ProPBM experience
  • Minimum 2 years batch process management for eligibility, claims, and accumulators, formulary management experience.
  • Two years management experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare or healthcare insurance environment
