About the position

As a Business Analyst - Medicaid Claims at Gainwell, you will play a crucial role in enhancing healthcare services by analyzing and improving business processes. This position focuses on leveraging technology to support clients in delivering better health outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to define business requirements, ensure effective communication, and verify that client needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, plan, design, document and make recommendations to improve business processes to support client's technological aspirations.
  • Act as a bridge between clients, project managers, and technical personnel to define, track, and communicate business requirements and their expected impact.
  • Create, execute, or analyze basic test scenarios to verify that client requirements are built into system design.
  • Participate in technical reviews and inspections to ensure that the intent of change is carried out through every project phase.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of Business Analyst experience working with Healthcare Claims.
  • Experience with different Claims Pricing Models such as Alternative Payment Methodology and Fee for Service Model.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other software for conducting quantitative analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing.
  • Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients, and technical personnel.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and leading requirement elicitation meetings.
  • Ability to elicit and document business requirements/policy that impact system change.
  • Experience managing system changes and guiding stakeholders through the SDLC process.
