About the position

The Business Analyst role is focused on improving business capabilities through the implementation of process and system enhancements, particularly within the supply chain domain. The position requires collaboration with internal and external teams, as well as key business partners, to support existing production systems and execute new system projects. The analyst will serve as a functional expert in Supply Chain Systems, particularly in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and will be responsible for documenting requirements and obtaining sign-off from stakeholders on complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business analysis activities at strategic, operational, and organizational levels.
  • Identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders on complex projects.
  • Collaborate on project efforts to support existing systems and execute new projects.
  • Capture Business User Stories and Requirements.
  • Provide analytical support to maximize product performance by understanding system capabilities and user needs.
  • Create detailed Functional Designs for technical counterparts.
  • Create and execute test plans, capturing and resolving defects.
  • Develop user documentation for new processes and system enhancements.
  • Communicate project timelines to Project Managers and ensure timely completion.
  • Utilize logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of supply chain systems.
  • Visio experience required.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is needed.
  • Warehouse supply chain experience (inventory, shipping, receiving) is essential.
  • Graduate degree in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting IT systems, processes, or capabilities.
  • General understanding of IT processes and dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment.
  • Solid understanding of industry best practices in retail or IT, with experience mapping business processes to these practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Understanding of application development and software development lifecycle concepts.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with Agile and Waterfall approaches.
