About the position

The Business Analyst - New Releases at Asmodee focuses on increasing sales and improving operational efficiencies through sales and inventory analysis. This role involves collaborating with various teams to support forecasting and purchasing decisions, ensuring that new game releases meet market demand effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Vendor Relations & Studios to obtain product information and prototypes in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular inventory analysis and anticipate next steps for reprints in the first 90 days.
  • Present new items to key Sales leads and gain additional background on sales opportunities/risks.
  • Identify and confirm channel strategies by item to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing upon confirmation of new releases and anticipated volume and channel strategy.
  • Develop annual unit sales demand forecast for New Releases in coordination with financial budget.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to update demand forecast based on market events and actual sales results.
  • Apply advanced analysis capabilities to improve forecast methods and accuracy.
  • Regularly monitor forecasting accuracy.
  • Provide monthly sales reporting and analysis on New Release performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong ability to employ qualitative reasoning to provide context to quantitative results.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to external and internal customers.
  • Able to effectively present information in front of groups and leaders of the company.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, statistics, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, finance, sales, and/or equivalent experience in the Game Industry, focusing on hobby retailers.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain contacts and networks in the board/tabletop/TCG game industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Power Query, Power BI and other analytics tools.
