About the position

As a Procurement Operations Business Analyst at CIBC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity across various source systems that are integral to the end-to-end supplier lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be to produce an accurate inventory of third-party suppliers by reconciling data from multiple systems utilized by Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Third Party Risk Management. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure ongoing data integrity between these systems, which is vital for effective decision-making and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to determine data output and reporting requirements, ensuring that the metrics and reporting outputs you develop validate data accuracy. Your analytical skills will be essential in creating metrics that allow management to understand progress and identify items requiring attention. Additionally, you will prepare data extracts and professional presentations for both internal stakeholders and external parties, supporting data requests from various departments, including regulators, Compliance, and Internal Audit. Your role will also involve working with internal stakeholders and external third parties to gather necessary information and support the updating of internal governance documentation. This ensures that effective controls related to data integrity are maintained, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data integrity between various source systems utilized throughout the end-to-end supplier lifecycle
  • Produce an accurate inventory of third-party suppliers by reconciling data from several source systems used by Accounts Payable, Procurement and Third Party Risk Management
  • Ensure data integrity between source systems on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine data output and reporting requirements
  • Proactively identify metrics and reporting output that would validate data accuracy
  • Develop metrics that allow management to understand progress and items requiring attention
  • Prepare data extracts and professional presentations for internal stakeholders or external parties as needed
  • Support data requests from internal stakeholders, regulators, Compliance and Internal Audit
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external third parties to obtain information, as necessary
  • Support updating of internal governance documentation to ensure effective controls related to data integrity

Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 Years of Experience in Data Analysis or Reporting, Preferably Within the Financial Services Industry
  • Technologically Adept - Microsoft Office and Other Technology Solutions
  • Detail Oriented - Quality Output Void of Errors
  • Results Oriented - Able to Work Independently and Prioritize Critical Tasks
  • Analytical and Presentation Skills - Expert Microsoft Excel, Other Data Analysis Tools and PowerPoint
  • Creative - Present Data in Manner to Highlight Key Points
