About the position

The Business Analyst role focuses on supporting product analysis within the finance sector, specifically in primary mortgage operations. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to write user stories, and experience in change management. The analyst will work in a hybrid environment, primarily onsite in McLean, and will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to identify solutions and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Write user stories and manage change effectively.
• Provide production support and assist in testing and development.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, for presentations.
• Communicate effectively with business areas and stakeholders.
• Take initiative in finding solutions to business challenges.
• Gather requirements and support Agile product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5+ years of work experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in change management and/or business operations.
• Knowledge of primary or secondary lending markets.
• In-depth understanding of Freddie Mac system functionality (highly desirable).
• Agile product delivery experience, including requirements gathering and writing user stories.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formatting, formulas, and macros.
• Technical background in computer science or related certifications (highly desirable).
• Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Testing and development experience, specifically in SaaS and UI.
• Agile certifications.
• Salesforce experience.
