About the position

The Business Analyst - Product Development role is focused on leading business issue discussions, defining resolutions, and implementing systems within the R&D and Merchandising teams of a major global apparel retailer. This position plays a crucial role in driving project outcomes such as sales uplift, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements, while collaborating with teams across regions and aligning priorities with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Proactively involve business stakeholders such as R&D and MD teams to lead business issue identification and resolution discussions, ensuring project outcomes are met.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives, system implementation, and operation stabilization efforts.
• Facilitate discussions between US and overseas corporate offices to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Manage project outcomes, including cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
• Oversee project budget and negotiate vendor contracts.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' business consulting or system implementation experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience working in the retail industry.
• Experience in business process analysis, issue identification, and future business process development.
• Experience in implementing merchandising systems.
• Knowledge of fashion industry product development.
• Some project management experience is preferred.

Benefits

• Salary range of $132,000 - $145,000 per year.
• 10% bonus paid at 5% increments twice a year.
