About the position

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their product development team, focusing on building new analytics and AI products. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to identify key requirements, ensuring proper documentation, and facilitating user acceptance testing to enhance existing products and develop new ones.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document product requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders, technical colleagues, and vendors.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders and vendors to ensure products meet documented requirements.
  • Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions.
  • Assist in designing and implementing operational and system improvements for product effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze end-user feedback, identify process deficiencies, and oversee remediation efforts.
  • Gather enhancement ideas and define requirements to evolve products as the business changes.
  • Build trust in key business partner relationships and create clarity in projects.
  • Handle complex business and technical environments and work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of experience as a business analyst.
  • Experience working with analytics and AI products preferred.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically workers compensation and liability claims, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate requirements gathering and meetings.
  • Impeccable documentation and business writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SDLC frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
