About the position

Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst - Product Owner with fraud claims experience to join a top financial institution. This role involves acting as a business lead and functional specialist, managing relationships with technology and business consumers, and ensuring alignment with the product vision. The position is contract-based with a pay rate of $72.91 per hour and offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a business lead and functional business specialist, providing input and executing on strategies, roadmaps, and forecasts.
• Create and maintain a product backlog, continuously re-prioritizing user stories for maximum customer value.
• Engage with business process partners to prepare customers for application changes and establish Day 2 processes.
• Align with senior management on the product delivery roadmap and release cadence.
• Provide oversight on user story design, development, and completion, accepting or rejecting based on the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.
• Communicate product changes and backlog priorities to business, technology, and senior management.
• Serve as the single point of escalation for the development team, providing guidance and decision-making as needed.
• Responsible for Business SME ownership/input into project artifacts such as ideation, business case, BRD, DIA, SRS, etc.
• Oversee or lead the facilitation and implementation of action/remediation plans for performance, risk, and governance issues.
• Act as a key point of escalation for stakeholder/user issues.
• Accountable for Sprint planning and execution activities.

Requirements

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Background in financial institutions (FI).
• Proficiency in PEGA, Confluence, and Jira.
• Experience in fraud claims.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tsys host systems.
