About the position

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Business Analyst/Project Coordinator with a Top-Secret Clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with management consulting skills, performing project management work at the FBI. This role requires a logical and proactive individual who understands how their work contributes to Koniag's value to the client and fits within the client's portfolio of activities. The candidate will function primarily as a Scrum Master for the team while also supporting other project management functions. Excellent written and oral communication skills, self-drive, and collaborative work with project team members are essential. The candidate will help the client achieve maximum mission value with the available funding, demonstrating excellent listening skills and the ability to ask insightful questions during interactions with colleagues and clients. The role involves capturing and presenting ideas articulately and persuasively, promoting team morale, and enhancing productivity. The candidate's responsibilities include analyzing various aspects of organizational functioning, such as management, processes, structure, culture, and performance. They will need a strong understanding and experience with requirements gathering techniques, change management, risk analysis, and metrics reporting. The candidate will run daily Agile Scrum or Kanban ceremonies for the team, identify and follow up on action items to support the development team's success, and provide coordination and audit control support for internal and external auditors. They will follow established continuous auditing and monitoring procedures and focus on understanding how effectively an organization, program, process, or group of people functions, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for solutions. Additionally, the candidate will conduct organizational or process analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis tools and techniques, assist in the development and management of project schedules, oversee and provide metrics on product backlog in an agile environment, and facilitate various technical and non-technical meetings. They will capture meeting minutes and hot topic items, manage content within a SharePoint environment, and develop various SOPs as needed. The candidate will work with all levels within the organization, from leadership to the workforce, and may engage in coaching, interviewing, workshop facilitation, training, and surveys. Testing the functionality of and interactions between enterprise financial systems from an end-user perspective will also be part of their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze various aspects of organizational functioning, including management, processes, structure, culture, and performance.
  • Run daily Agile Scrum or Kanban based ceremonies for the team.

  • Identify the source of problems and make recommendations for solutions, including designing and implementing appropriate organizational interventions.
  • Apply organizational and management theory and principles to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and management of project schedules.
  • Oversee and provide metrics on product backlog in an agile environment.
  • Attend and facilitate various technical and non-technical meetings.
  • Capture meeting minutes and hot topic items from meetings.
  • Manage content within a SharePoint environment.
  • Develop various SOPs as needed at the system or portfolio level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience (some flexibility for strong candidates).
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong logical reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power BI or similar, capable of developing formulas to extract data from Excel spreadsheets or databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the management, planning, or control of Information Technology programs/projects.
  • Familiarity with adapting and applying IT methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agile Certification (Scrum Master or similar) - training provided if not possessed.
