About the position

The Business Analyst/QA position within the Housing Stabilization Team focuses on supporting the emergency housing assistance Product Manager and various projects. The role involves translating business and technical requirements into test plans, ensuring project scope and requirements are met through quality assurance testing, and conducting research to identify feasible solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business owners, end users, and subject matter experts.
  • Gather business requirements through work sessions and interviews.
  • Identify, assess, and document business requirements.
  • Recommend business priorities and advise on options, risks, and costs.
  • Develop and participate in training sessions, demos, and documentation of meeting outcomes.
  • Develop technical standards and policies to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Write use cases, business rules, and other artifacts to represent business processes and requirements.
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources and develop new solutions for existing problems.
  • Document business, application, and system scenarios adhering to change management procedures.
  • Create and maintain test plans for scalability, security, functionality, and usability.
  • Develop test scripts, conditions, input test data, and expected results for various test streams.
  • Execute test scripts and document defects using project defect management tools.
  • Work with the application team to resolve issues arising from testing.
  • Participate in the release control process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Assist the training team in developing training materials and establishing training cases in the UAT environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • 2+ years of QA experience.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (system configuration, admin, and reporting).
  • Public Sector experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • SQL Experience
  • Experience with Tableau and Snowflake.
  • Government Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of housing and homelessness prevention programs.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as agile and waterfall.
  • Experience with advanced Microsoft Office, pivot tables, charts, Visio, data analytics, and JIRA.
