About the position

The Business Analyst for RBOPS/Financial Management Oversight and Systems at the Federal Reserve Bank is responsible for providing analytical, operational, and program support to division leadership. This role involves designing and implementing business processes and programs, collecting and disseminating business data, and making recommendations to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. The analyst will support financial management oversight, collaborate with financial analysts, and ensure effective resource allocation while managing projects and integrated project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical, operational, and program support to division leadership.
  • Design and implement business processes and programs.
  • Collect, maintain, and disseminate business data and information.
  • Make recommendations to increase efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Support financial management oversight of Reserve Banks' strategy and operations.
  • Identify and analyze emerging risks to financial management operations.
  • Collaborate with financial analysts to understand business/reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Build advanced reporting solutions in coordination with technology support functions.
  • Devise innovative strategies and solutions to meet enterprise goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, data analytics, finance, accounting, business administration, operations management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business process improvement, financial management, data analytics, and project management.
  • Excellent consulting, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in PC analytical software and programming languages for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and integrated project teams.
  • Project management (PMP) experience or certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, finance, procurement, and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
