As a Business Analyst - Research at Gainwell Technologies, you will play a crucial role in translating business needs into reporting requirements and collaborating with clients to ensure successful operational and client reporting. You will be involved in analyzing, planning, and documenting business processes to support clients' technological goals, ensuring that changes are effectively implemented throughout project phases.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with staff and clients to ensure successful operational and client reporting.
• Use system reports and analyses to identify and correct data issues.
• Prepare position papers, problem statements, and reports for review and approval by DHCS.
• Analyze, plan, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes.
• Act as a bridge between clients, project managers, and technical personnel to define and communicate business requirements.
• Create and analyze test scenarios to verify client requirements are met in system design.
• Participate in technical reviews and inspections to ensure project intent is maintained.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in translating technical goals and requirements into actionable plans.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and quantitative analysis software.
• Proficiency in SQL queries, reporting data, and gap analysis.
• Knowledge of basic computer programming concepts such as Configuration, Development, and Batch Processing.
• Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Medicaid program and State/Federal programs preferred.
