About the position

The Returns Product Analyst will play a crucial role in the Returns, Fraud, and Abuse department at Abercrombie & Fitch Co., focusing on delivering insights and implementing actions to optimize the returns experience. This position aims to reduce overall returns, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction within the returns process. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives that align with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support OKRs related to return rates, including overall, branded, product, and regional return rates.
  • Discover insights and take action on both product and technical aspects by collaborating with relevant business process owners.
  • Set up alerting and support processes to proactively address high returning items.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions to discover, implement, and inform as needed.
  • Create and manage analytics and reporting to support return objectives and provide updates to key business leaders.
  • Monitor, scope, and execute resolutions to ad-hoc issues impacting returns with subject matter experts.
  • Create and support business case development to enable action, collaborating with finance and project management teams.
  • Utilize PowerBI, Snowflake, and other dashboard tools to identify trends and share ongoing business performance results.
  • Identify insights using data and construct visualizations with analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Excel Pivot Tables.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, DMAIC, and other problem-solving methodologies.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in business, product development, information systems, or a related field (Fashion/Apparel experience is a plus).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in digital product, digital transformation, retail industry, or related fields.
  • Experience using dashboard tools such as PowerBI, Snowflake, or similar.
  • History of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical, product, and analytics teams.
  • Ability to create successful business cases with adequate ROI for implementation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in an Agile environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to convey nuanced concepts to executive leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the fashion or apparel industry.
  • Familiarity with lean, six sigma, DMAIC methodologies.
