About the position

Join AZAD as a Business Analyst to provide business and risk analysis support to the Safety Organization Internal Operations at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). This role involves coordinating with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to analyze the Safety Organization's business model, ensuring alignment with agency goals and safety initiatives. The analyst will apply technical expertise to identify hazards and support risk mitigation efforts, as well as conduct benchmarking studies to recommend best practices for achieving strategic goals. This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, WA, with a strong potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to analyze the Safety Organization's business model framework.
• Conduct data analysis, policy and program reviews, and assess incidents and safety concerns.
• Identify early indicators of hazards and support proactive risk mitigation measures.
• Support benchmarking studies to identify and recommend best practices for work planning.
• Ensure alignment of safety strategic initiatives with agency goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, business analytics, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in data analysis with a bachelor's degree; 7 years with an associate degree; 9 years without a degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience with database software for data analysis and recordkeeping.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to pass a federal background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in risk management or safety and occupational health.
• Formal training in technical writing or related coursework.
