About the position

The Business Analyst position for the U.S. Y-OTR division is a critical role focused on supporting sales leadership through complex sales analysis and financial assessments. This position is integral to the effectiveness of the sales team, providing insights and strategic assessments to drive decision-making and support various sales initiatives across the U.S. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments and involves managing key performance indicators, forecasting, and presenting analyses to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support U.S Y-OTR Regional Heads and other sales leaders as needed.
  • Support the monthly variance analysis process for the U.S. by providing deep analysis around selling volume analysis and pricing.
  • Assist in Pricing/Other Proposals.
  • Support in developing, consolidating, comparing and analyzing actual results against budget and forecasts; explain and monitor variances; identify trends and recommend changes to the leadership team.
  • Support the annual budget process.
  • Support Sales Management Team members, as needed, to create KPIs, dashboards; able to streamline and develop scalable and intuitive reports.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of business transactions against existing benchmarks to ensure best practices and optimization on business results.
  • Support in competitor analysis.
  • Support process controls for freight and order discounting while developing alternative solutions.
  • Organize and ensure useful nature of regional sales staff meeting and sales review through use of meaningful data.
  • Management of Year End Bonus (YEB) Marketing Program and administration of special sales programs by providing data and working directly with the Regional Heads and other sales leaders and key national customers to ensure the U.S. and the Company achieves overall sales goals.
  • Participate and/or present effectively in sales management team as well as key customer meetings to summarize and explain sales analyses and how the data supports the relevant sales proposition(s).
  • Respond quickly and comprehensibly to questions during such meetings and follow up as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Data Analytics, Finance or Marketing.
  • MBA in Marketing, Data Analytics or Finance preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in business administration or sales role.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Data-mining skills (comfortable with database).
  • Experience in working with cross-functional team and executive team.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adherence to multiple deadlines and commitment to positive result.
