About the position

The Business Analyst, Sr. (Contract Configuration) at CalOptima Health is responsible for overseeing and managing the Contract Management System (CMS) for the Contracting department. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the system, managing provider contracts, developing custom forms, and ensuring the integrity of contract data. The analyst will also provide training, support system enhancements, and perform user acceptance testing, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, manage, and maintain the department's contracts database.
  • Administer bulk distribution of contracts and amendments.
  • Manage contract templates and ensure consistency and alignment in language.
  • Develop custom forms that populate contracts and related documents.
  • Load, test, and audit setup of contracts and supporting data fields in the CMS.
  • Participate in testing and validation of system changes and improvements.
  • Develop contract activity trend reports processed through CMS.
  • Perform regular audits of contract builds and provide training to end users.
  • Assist the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborate on goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for database configuration and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience managing complex provider contract negotiations.
  • Experience working within a contract management system.
  • Experience in a managed care environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience as a business data analyst in the health care industry.
