About the position

The Business Analyst - USAF Task Lead position at Andrews Air Force Base involves leading and managing portfolio management and system integration efforts for the Air Force's largest IT portfolio. This role supports the Headquarters AF/A4PA and requires a professional who can adapt to dynamic customer priorities while maintaining focus on assigned tasks. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least once a week, and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to advocate for IT infrastructure improvements and develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/manage/coordinate portfolio management and system integration efforts for the Air Force's IT portfolio.
  • Advise and assist in the development and oversight of portfolio IT transformation priorities.
  • Support portfolio studies and develop initiative business cases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Air Staff and third parties to plan and oversee execution of portfolio initiatives.
  • Build information and decision briefings for senior leaders up to 3-star level.
  • Analyze IT investment plans and recommend roadmap efforts to reduce costs and comply with DoD mandates.
  • Lead/support portfolio summits and other meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Author strategies, plans, and procedures, updating them as needed.
  • Capture and document requirements, produce project plans, and track project completion.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple work streams and track activities across organizations.
  • Plan and schedule meetings, facilitate discussions, and capture action items.
  • Develop high-quality work products using MS Office suite.

Requirements

  • Experience in portfolio management and system integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with the Air Force or military organizations.
  • Familiarity with DoD IT policies and mandates.
