About the position

The Business Analyst at DevTech Systems, Inc. will support the USAID Analytics, Data, Visualization, and Information Services 2.0 (ADVISE Bu2.0) project, working closely with the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). This role involves understanding and enhancing decision support platforms, data products, and technical assistance related to digital transformation. The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between the development team and clients, ensuring that BHA's data and information services meet the needs of the Agency and end-users. The position allows for generous U.S.-based telework or remote work options.

Responsibilities

  • Lead documentation of project business processes and manage documentation such as Scope of Works (SOWs), requirements matrices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Engage with customers to understand their data management and data science needs and communicate capabilities into application solutions.
  • Support the drafting and review of a product vision and roadmap for empowering customer data science capabilities.
  • Create an inventory of customer data sources and document use cases.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to articulate analytic and data requirements and surface relevant data.
  • Manage and organize projects, project artifacts, and monitor performance.
  • Assist in integration testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation.
  • Maintain relationships among customers, project stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Provide basic technical advising on data and analytics.
  • Design and maintain engagement and success metrics for data products.
  • Lead demo and feedback sessions to ensure user success and product feedback.
  • Design and implement a promotion and dissemination strategy to drive user engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer, information science, or a related field.
  • 11 years of experience in a business analyst role for a data product team or similar role with a focus on data products.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with data product adoption and measuring user engagement.
  • Experience with human-centered design approaches.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Desired experience with Tableau or similar BI package.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Fundamental understanding of data management and proper architectural concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team.
  • Current Secret security clearance preferred.
