About the position

The Business Analyst position focuses on supporting financial projects within an Agile framework. The role requires collaboration with customers to define enterprise goals, conduct requirements analysis, and provide project management oversight for small to medium-sized projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, particularly in financial services, and will be responsible for facilitating stakeholder collaboration and ensuring that solutions align with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements analysis and product demonstration for financial projects.
  • Conduct gap analysis between legacy and cloud platforms.
  • Provide project management oversight for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand and define enterprise goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to sprint planning and estimation by highlighting dependencies and constraints.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Analyze business needs and devise strategies to facilitate stakeholder collaboration.
  • Validate and verify information to identify solution options that meet business needs.
  • Establish and implement effective requirement creation and management practices.
  • Champion requirements elicitation using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
  • Define solution approaches and identify business improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor the market for technologies and processes relevant to business analysis.
  • Develop training materials to improve stakeholder efficiency in using business analysis tools.
  • Coordinate roles and responsibilities across large or multiple teams spanning functions and time zones.
  • Develop a network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within and outside the organization.
  • Drive transformational programs for the organization or customer.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business analysis with a focus on financial services.
  • Strong skills in requirement gathering and functional requirements analysis.
  • Experience working on Agile projects for at least 2-3 years.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience in gap analysis and project management oversight.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business process descriptions and use cases.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and their integration with legacy systems.
