About the position

This position is for a Business Analyst at a well-known global Fortune 500 company in the Consumer and Retail sector. The role focuses on data analysis and visualization, requiring critical analytical skills to interpret complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience and will be responsible for developing dashboards, maintaining databases, and managing reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to provide insights into key business metrics.
• Analyze complex data sets using SQL to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Transition database solution from an Access-based environment to a SQL-based data mart, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Design, develop and maintain databases to support various reporting and analytical needs.
• Continuously improve existing databases to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Manage ad-hoc inquiries related to reporting, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Create comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and reports.
• Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of canned and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role, with an emphasis on data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SQL is essential; experience with other BI tools is a plus.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Master's degree is a plus.
