About the position

The Business Analyst will work within a public sector IT organization focusing on accounting software applications. This mid to senior level role involves evaluating current business processes, identifying improvements, and ensuring a seamless experience for internal users. The candidate will act as a liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements, bridging the gap between technical feasibility and business objectives. This position is a 9-month contract with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current business processes and identify improvements.
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Gather and document requirements for system enhancements.
• Lead user requirement gathering and respond promptly to user requests.
• Develop and maintain clear and concise business requirement documents.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience in accounting or financial software or a related field.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Experience in leading user requirement gathering.
