About the position

The Business Analyst position within the Department of Defense involves budget formulation, execution, and monitoring to support the strategic and business plans of the organization. The role requires analyzing business performance, coordinating budget proposals, and ensuring compliance with pricing methodologies. The position is developmental at the GS-11 level, with responsibilities increasing at the GS-12 level, including serving as a primary expert budget facilitator and communicating financial performance results to management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for budget formulation, execution, allocation, and monitoring the use of resources.
• Provides guidance regarding financial implications of program proposals.
• Analyzes business performance and prepares budget proposals/exhibits.
• Formulates, monitors, and revises operational budget for organizations.
• Determines pricing methodology and executes price changes.
• Receives, validates, and accepts funding documents and maintains associated reimbursable internal orders.
• Facilitates the end-to-end business cycle design in alignment with DLA's strategic direction.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience directly related to the position at the GS-09 level for GS-11 applicants or GS-11 level for GS-12 applicants.
• Experience serving as a budget facilitator with supply chain-approving officials.
• Experience applying pricing rules and ensuring compliance with pricing methodology.
• Experience consolidating financial performance results and recommendations.
