About the position

The Business Analyst position at Randstad involves working with a growing client in Terrell, Texas, focusing on data analysis and decision-making support. The role requires expertise in SAP, Alteryx, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. The analyst will be responsible for collecting and preprocessing data, performing exploratory analysis, and developing predictive models to drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Develop and test hypotheses to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Build and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Utilize statistical techniques and tools to analyze complex data sets.
• Build models from the foundational level and optimize for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Create data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and reports to provide ongoing insights and track key metrics.
• Present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and data needs.
• Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to identify business requirements, support data needs, and drive system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years overall business experience including Data Science, Marketing/Product Management or Category Management Analysis.
• Experience with SQL, SAP, Alteryx, Tableau also preferred.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to corporate or department goals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Nielsen or IRA data preferred.
