About the position

The Business Analyst at Esri will leverage strong analytical skills to support the Technical Support team in collaborating with analysts, developers, and business users. The role focuses on building new solutions, solving problems, and improving existing processes through effective communication and documentation of business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, and business process descriptions.
  • Critically evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, and extract details from high-level information.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with team members to analyze information and define requirements.
  • Deliver supporting project artifacts including functional requirements, use cases, and business process models.
  • Document standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Administer the Support website by authoring content and responding to user feedback.
  • Develop training for internal and external clients on website usage and internal change requests.
  • Gather metrics and create reports from Salesforce CRM, Adobe Analytics, and SQL databases.
  • Perform testing of application development and validate deployed applications.
  • Create and develop support materials, such as user guides and presentations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business needs into application requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, diplomacy, and problem-solving.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Proactive, self-starter who enjoys learning new tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in marketing, graphics, web development, UI/UX design, or front-end development.
  • Proficiency in technical writing standards and best practices.
  • Experience with content management applications.
  • Experience in customer service or support organizations.
  • Familiarity with HTML, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with Salesforce Reporting and Knowledge.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Google Search Console.
