About the position

The Business Analyst role at Robert Half is a short-term contract position focused on the Energy/Natural Resources industry. The primary purpose of this role is to act as a liaison between IT development groups and business units, facilitating the development and enhancement of ERP systems. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring effective project completion and minimal disruption during system implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between IT development groups and business units to facilitate the development and implementation of new systems as well as enhancements to existing systems.
  • Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, proposing suitable system alternatives and enhancements where necessary.
  • Identify system requirements for new applications.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Work under the direction of a project manager, assisting in various project-related tasks.
  • Effectively communicate with different business units, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents to support project development.
  • Handle the implementation process of new systems or enhancements, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to business units.
  • Enhance business units through the introduction and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Utilize your skills in communication, presentations, and liaising to ensure effective and efficient project completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst for Workday Implementations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in delivering clear, concise presentations to various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement business strategies and processes
  • Experience acting as a liaison between different business units and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive Business Requirement Documents
  • Strong understanding of business units and their specific requirements
  • Proven ability to propose and implement business enhancements
  • Experience with system enhancements to improve business processes
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
