About the position

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing information from various stakeholders to implement effective information technology solutions. This position involves documenting business requirements, creating user stories, and recommending solutions to identified business problems through technical implementations. The role is currently 100% remote, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration with teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, application and data architects, and system testers to translate requirements into user stories and PBIs.
  • Lead requirement discussions to document, analyze, and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications, business process diagrams, and workflows.
  • Identify dependencies and downstream impact factors to guide the project team in delivering solutions for each sprint.
  • Identify areas where technical solutions could improve business performance.
  • Contribute knowledge and insight during meetings for product development and testing strategy, providing subject expertise during the software development life cycle.
  • Assist in validation and triage of production issues.
  • Create or update project deliverables, artifacts, and technical specifications in accordance with client requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within existing and future state processes.
  • Support system testers and UAT processes by reviewing test plans and assessing business impacts of systems development to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Assist system testers in identifying test scenarios for automation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of business analysis experience in a structured software development environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Agile software development experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and document technical/functional IT requirements.
  • Ability to understand and test technical/functional IT requirements.
  • Experience with integration of applications to internal or external applications.
  • Knowledge of using Azure DevOps tool to create Features and Product Backlog Items.
  • Knowledge of using HP ALM Quality Center SQL (Oracle 19c).
  • Knowledge of using SQL (Oracle 19c).
  • Bachelor's Degree.
