About the position

The Business Analyst position within the Client Data Management & Governance (CDMG) group is focused on supporting a large data-driven initiative in the Capital Markets client reference data space. This role involves providing business and data analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring that data management practices align with business objectives. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in requirements elicitation, documentation, and facilitating communication across various business lines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements
• Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states
• Document business requirements, processes, and solutions
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives
• Propose process solutions that meet business needs and objectives
• Work with business and IT departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals
• Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of business analysis and data management experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
• Proficient in Excel
• Solid understanding of data management practices (data profiling, matching, cleansing, mastering, and exception management)
• Knowledge of Confluence and Jira, or an equivalent application - highly preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with client reference data, account data, and/or Capital Market trading products preferred.
